A broad Malaysian opening

Malay Mail reports that Forgotten Island debuted with a 100 per cent Rotten Tomatoes score. The report says DreamWorks Animation’s film follows childhood friends Jo and Raissa into Nakali, a mysterious island shaped by Filipino folklore. It says they encounter creatures including the manananggal and batibat while trying to get home. The story also brings in Tagalog, family traditions, karaoke and food, with Liza Soberano and H.E.R. among the voices and Malaysian-born Ronny Chieng voicing King Truffle Wuffle.
