In Malaysian cinemas this week

Avengers : Endgame Encore is showing at 118 cinemas across 14 states and federal territories, with 1,560 sessions listed between Wednesday 30 September and Tuesday 6 October. Most of those cinemas are in Selangor (27 cinemas), then Kuala Lumpur (25 cinemas). TGV, GSC, FST, Mega, AE Cinemas, Amerin, 10 Star, Dadi, Paragon, TSR and One Cinemas are all screening it; TGV has the most sessions. There are IMAX, Atmos, 4DX and ScreenX sessions as well as standard 2D. Sessions run from 10:10 AM to 12:10 AM; 2 of them start after midnight.

A wide Malaysian encore run

This site's listings show Avengers : Endgame Encore at 125 cinemas this week, with 1,843 sessions across Malaysia. The screenings cover Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Johor, Pulau Pinang, Perak and Sarawak. Available premium formats include Infinity Vision, Atmos and IMAX.

Variety reports that the re-release earned US$86 million globally, including US$60 million overseas and US$26 million in North America. The outlet says Disney and Marvel brought the 2019 film back with new footage and an exclusive look at Avengers: Doomsday. Variety also reports that Infinity Vision is a certification for cinemas meeting rigorous technical standards. In a separate report, Variety says the re-release opened at No. 1 in Australia with $2.53 million.
